We should do everything we can to maintain or enhance it, but it doesn't matter how pretty or handsome a person is on the outside if they are selfish, greedy, unkind or dishonest, they are not beautiful. It’s a terrible burden to be attractive on the outside, but to lack the inner beauty which comes from faith in God. That’s probably the major reason why the careers of many movie stars, professional athletes and talented individuals are sadly ended by substance abuse or premature death.ĭr. The most important Bible verse about beauty is from 1 Peter, “What matters is not your outer appearance - the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes - but your inner disposition. Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in.” Dads teach with actions instead of words. ![]() For that, she was praised throughout the world. The late Mother Teresa, old and wrinkled, would have failed every beauty contest, except the one that matters most - inner beauty that reveres God. The book of Esther is an account of a beauty contest to choose a new queen. ![]() Few people realize the Bible contains some vital advice about an inner beauty that is lasting.
